It's finally Friday!

Today I had great time with my 2 other team-mates shopping at the bazaar, lunching, discussing about perfumes and laughing at all the nonsense we came up with.

Probably it's them and my kakis that makes going to work not so dreadful. Haha. It feels so homely that we love buying breakfasts for each other, and sometimes someone else buys tea snacks etc, feels so warm like a family. I like it this way and I'm happy having such friends.

Yesterday, someone langa into Daddy's car.

Apparently this stupid man slept while driving and when we were at a traffic light-which we were already stationary...this stupid man did not brake and his stupid car just hit into us from the back.

Although it was quite a hard knock, our lovely 27 was still intact and only suffered a small dent with 1 or 2 scratches. Paint came off too.

I really felt that driver was damn irresponsible lor. I mean, sleeping on the road is NEVER a forgivable reason lah! Really what! He still dare to say he slept while driving. He was just plain irresponsible and negligent! He should not even be driving if he was tired! WTF!

Lucky we were all alright-Clement and I were sitting behind.

So irritating. I immediately took out my cam and started snapping away at his car, his windscreen labels, his license plate, his face...whatever. Just in case he zooms off in that stupid Chrysler.

Drive Chrysler big deal ah. Idiot. I'll make sure he pays back for whatever damage.

Anyway, this is my Taipei and HK trip in June earlier this year with the sisters Joy and Kailing. Did I tell you we met the singer Tank there? He was having some promotional event on his new album. He sang live and was really good!

Then we also celebrated Kailing's 25th Birthday recently over a slumber at Quincy Hotel. It's a nice place, very exclusive!

Guess Wad.
My wisdom tooth's acting up again.

To begin with, I have 4 of them. Top 2, Bottom 2.

My right bottom wisdom tooth was kind of infected and it caused the gum around it to swell. And then, if I were to close my mouth fully like saying the word "fish" ending with jaws closed, it'll hurt. This is because, the top tooth is so called biting on the bottom one, pressuring the already swollen gum. So simply put--I cannot close my mouth.

So today, I went to the usual dentist but saw a different doctor this time as it was rather last minute. This other doctor was so fierce lor! The way he pry open my mouth was so rough, like totally think I got no feeling. He told me I must extract it.

And he wants to extract BOTH TOP AND BOTTOM RIGHT WISDOM TOOTH OUT. AT ONE GO.

Then he went on to say that after that side is done, he will proceed with the left top and bottom!! I almost freaked out. He said I could have 5 days MC for that minor (but damn scary) surgery. And the 5 day MC thing is not the least enticing.

I am freaking scared lah! Actually I think nothing grave will happen if I don't extract it. The doctor just said that if I didn't go ahead with it, I would get this kind of on-off swell and pain. Right side, left side....like once in every 6 months or 1 year. Based on my record, the last time I felt this wisdom tooth pain was 1 year ago.

Oh well, seriously I don't mind going through this kind of pain if it is once in a year...compared to having the surgery. Haiz...I really cannot bring myself to go through it although he said it could be done in 1 hour and I will be on anesthetic..and what not.

But he's so fierce leh!! He was like insistent that I MUST get all the tooths extracted and must go back and see him. argh......I know he means well lah, but....still.....

Anyway, for some general knowledge...I went to google some info on wisdom tooth and here goes (in case you also have such problems):

Conditions when your wisdom tooth needs to be removed:

	The wisdom tooth has partially grown into the mouth and then gets stuck (impacted) because of lack of space in the jaws.----->yes that's me.
	The gums around the wisdom tooth gets infected (pericoronitis)--->yes that's why I'm having pain and I cannot close my mouth.
	The wisdom tooth has decay.----->not at the moment.
	The wisdom tooth affects adjacent teeth e.g. accumulation of food debris between the impacted wisdom tooth and the tooth in front of it leads to tooth decay. The decay can often go undetected as in the early stages there may be no pain.

Happy L-A-B-O-U-R Day to myself!

I finally know how to appreciate l-a-b-o-u-r day. Get it? It's LABOUR. Meaning to say, it's that hard work, it's that toiling for that 8.5 hrs from Monday to Friday facing all those nonsense and sh*t at work.

So, it's rewarding to have this public holiday and I definitely appreciate it now. Hahaha. It's rest and relax time!

Today was definitely rewarding. Rachel and Vivien came over early and we had a morning swim. We then went to Hougang Mall's Pasta Mania for lunchie and a little shopping. I guess we were all in a very good mood this holiday and we ended up buying many things (whether we needed it or wanted it). I'm happy cos' it's quality time well spent.

Seeing 宝贝 JC later too. We're going to meet his friends for coffee I think.

Sometimes I wonder if everything is so called-fated.

Recently, I started to rewind the past and look at the drama that I went through not too long ago closely, scrutinizing all the little little scenes which should have kind of rang the alarm in me but yet at that point of time, I didn't actually notice anything!

I just cannot understand how come things have to be so complicated. Or am I the one that is making my life complicated. Hahaha.

Just like D always say, a dancer's life is not complicated--it is the dancer who makes it complicated. I'm beginning to think it is true.

Well, my complication doesn't really stem or have anything to do with dancing (at the moment). It is with regards to L. At times, I am also not really sure if I know what I really want. He's being very aggressive and I am also slightly responding towards his signal. However, I do have those moments where I just feel something is pulling me back, for all sorts of reasons.

Maybe you'll say I am paranoid. I shouldn't be worrying too much.

The hesitant factor comes from the fear of history repeating...I mean, I also won't know whether the same drama will come on 2 years later and I don't want to waste time. Of course, I know it is a gamble right from the start. L is very nice but knowing that his certain attributes are not up to my "mark", that makes me hesitant too.

The girls tell me that I am entitled to have my expectations and all, but some also tell me that I should stop having the checklist because it is almost impossible to kind of have the best of both worlds. Moreover, experience has shown that even the person who got the most number of ticks on the checklist initially could fail you, so it is never an accurate form of measurement.

Another thing is also the complicated feeling that I have with D. He is the one who could really inspire me which also goes to show he has some impact on me. The same dreams that we have together and all...affects me quite a bit too.

Yes I agree with what they say but I am human lah, so it's easier said than done.

Oh well, I will try to moderate on the checklist thing and leave things to flow naturally.

Guess if it's meant to be, it will be.

UKA Bronze Medalist Exam
RESULTS!!

I am on top of the world!
I went for my intermediate Cha-cha-cha class today and the results for my exam are out already!
Haha, you see got cake means you know it's a celebration lor! I was really so happy that I felt like crying, really. So on the way home I bought a cake to celebrate!

MY HARD WORK!

This is the so-called transcript where the examiner will grade you according to:

Rhythm
Technique
Poise
Presentation

And I scored EXCELLENT for all the attributes!

The additional comments from the examiner, Mr David Roberts also read:

"A very fun dancer with a fabulous competitive styling and wonderful musicality. Has that rare formula of good basics and a good competitive edge. A very talented partnership."

He even verbally commented that my partner Dean had very good posture and our partnership was really good! Of course, that made Dean very happy when I told him about it.

And my final grading: DISTINCTIONS for both Cha-cha-cha and Rumba!
It's like the highest grading can!
I am super super happy lor! I've worked so hard for it and finally, my efforts have paid off.

JC, thank you for the "Graduate Zhong(1) Huang(2)"
I've really passed the exam with flying colours!! Hahaha!

I went for my UKA Bronze Exam TODAY!!
I feel very happy to have completed the exam. After all, I've worked so hard for it and I really want to achieve something after putting so much focus on it. The venue is at school (A&J) and starts at 9.30am.

Yesterday, Joshua (one of my teachers) smsed me to wish me all the best! The jie-meis smsed me yesterday too! Mee Mee also remembered and Antimo (my world class instructor) even emailed me all the way from HK! Super sweet lor!

Early in the morning, JC came to pick me and sent me for exam. He even gave me a good-luck crystal for exam which was his. I brought 小黄 along too.

After dropping me off, it was still quite early and so I went to Mac for a drink. Dean (my partner) then reached and the exam kicked off with the other categories first. We even co-ordinated our outfit this time round!

We had our warmup and my number tag was 40 lor! (shall only load the above picture to protect my partner, haha) Don't know if that's a good number after all. Hahaha. But I was determined to do my best. So our turn came around 10.20am and I went in and gave my best shot at Cha-cha-cha and Rumba.

Everything went quite ok and I was feeling good. However, the last part of the Rumba we had a little slip. I was supposed to do an underarm turn but Dean accidentally turned too! (fyi: there is no such step where man and lady do underarm turns at the same time.) Of course, teachers and examiners knew lah. But I followed and I guess on the whole it didn't end up looking too akward. We work as one and partners support each other, not blame each other.

At the end of it, Teacher Allan said "Well Done" to me. Dean also said I'm the best partner and I guess those 2 phrases totally left me feeling very relieved and satisfied. I want to take this opportunity to thank my partner Dean for all the time and effort he has put into training with me.

I think I will only be able to know the results next week.

Today's my first attempt at Ondeh Ondeh! Well, I love Nyonya kuehs but I find the rest so difficult to make, so I wanted to start off with something a little simpler first. And I am glad!

Ok although it is not like fantastic or what, but at least it tasted like Ondeh Ondeh! I love it when the gula melaka oozes out of the chewy layer!
Hahaha!

Being my first attempt, I'm quite satisfied already, but I will try to improve on it still. Hopefully when you guys get a chance to try it, it'll be yummy already. =)

I must learn not to get so stressed up during dancing.

Yesterday at Joshua's class I don't know what happen leh, I totally had a mental block and just couldn't recall my chacha routine. Even the Rumba routine that I had been doing for so long, I also couldn't get the sequence right.

I also don't know why.

Anyway I never going to let it happen again. Terrible.

Next thing, I am planning to go HK again--soon that is! It's for shopping and chill but I hope I can catch Antimo too since I'm there. And most importantly!!! I will get to eat my Xu Liu Shan's yang zhi gan lu again! Yahoo!

Finally. Bren loves Fridays after 6.

Preparation for Exam

We had our first try-out of my exam dance routine last night.

I would say, it's quite good. Although we haven't been dancing together for a while, I think the chemistry was easily found back. Had fun as usual (minus the "accidents") and I think the dance progressed quite well.

My only concern is that we might forget the sequence of steps, but I know I trust my partner alot. After all, what is supposed to be is lead and follow, so I should also stop auto-piloting. Hehe. =)

I am so looking forward to our private lesson with Joshua. I'm sure he'll be able to train me until I do well at the exam! I have super high standards and expectations for myself and am definitely going to work towards it!

I made Osmanthus (桂花) and Wolfberries (枸杞) agar agar today!
Tada!

I ate this the very first time in HongKong and I loved the refreshing fragrance of the Osmanthus flowers, hence I decided to try and create a replica today.

The Osmanthus flowers are beautiful and they aid in detoxifying the body, kidneys and promote good skin (which is what I need badly). In addition, you could also use these fragrant flowers for tea-brewing on its own or adding with green tea/oolong tea.

For the Wolfberries, they aid in one's eyesight, helps to reduce blood pressure and also detoxifies the body.

The agar agar turned out well but still not as nice as the HK one. Haha. Perhaps I could add more flowers for a stronger fragrance and a little more sugar as it could be better a little sweeter.

Oh my God, I feel so organic and detoxed today! Haha.

Antimo came to Singapore over this weekend and we had lesson with him today!

He's still the same since I last saw him in HK 2 months back, but he's abit stricter today, cos we told him we want to concentrate on technique. I knew I was very tensed during the lesson and he kept telling me to relax. Haha. I don't know why I behaved like that too.

Anyway, I just know I am still far far far far far away from the pros (of course) and it will take me a real long way to reach where I want to be.

When the lesson ended, I surprised Antimo with my handmade card and the Oatmeal Choc Chip cookies (freshly baked this morning). He was very happy and I think he was very touched too. Of course, I was delighted!

I will definitely remember what I "felt" in the class. I also realised that certain connection in dancing cannot be explicitly taught and it was only through the motion itself that I knew what Antimo was trying to show me.

We left Antimo's place after lesson and went for sushi. As usual, I always get bullied in the whole outing in the name of "familiarity" but yet I seem to enjoy it. Had a great time eating, joking and sharing alot of thoughts, ideas and opinions. More secrets revealed today too. Haha.

Whatever it is, I thoroughly enjoyed myself today although it was only a short while. It was quality. Downside--I brought my camera but forgotten to take any pictures with Antimo! Argh! Only realised it when we left lor!

Looking forward to tomorrow too! Breakfast with the jiemeis! (after so long!)

I had a private 1-2-1 Rumba lesson with Antimo and he's like damn pro lah! An extremely nice and friendly instructor who made the lesson funny and interesting. I really learnt a lot from him. The way he explains the technique really makes you understand how to go about doing the movements.

As you can see, I'm listening attentively and really focused on getting the techniques right. Antimo's also very patient, especially with the switch turns I did because at times I wasn't sharp enough, or sometimes I was too fast, etc.

He also choreographed a short routine for us and i liked it alot! It's a world class experience! Fruitful!

Hey hey!
Here's the jie mei bracelet I've done for my cousin sister's wedding that's coming up in December. Nice nice??

The theme is white and gold (match with bride's dress). I went to my cousin's house on Sunday to make this. We sew the flowers to the ribbons and painted the butterflies gold. The butterflies were then later attached on top of the flowers.

This is how it will look when it's tied on our wrists.

I'm so proud of myself and the outcome of these bracelets. Pretty pretty. Haha.

It was a day out with the sistas and we headed for shopping in Orchard. We all had a shopping list and we also managed to get what we wanted.

Lunch was at Ramen-Ten at Far East. Disappointing ah.

The quality of food was not good (not that the price was cheap or what), and the service was below average. Sashimi got bones, sushi not well made, katsu-don not piping hot, rice had a weird smell...etc. That's bad enough right.

While paying at the cashier, she didn't even ask me if I had UOB card as there was 10% discount.

I had wanted to pay with my OCBC card already until Kailing spotted the minute notice for this promotion. So luckily, it was still in time. But I'm still rather unhappy with the service standards. Crew not proactive and slow to react.

Can't blame me yeah, I'm doing service quality, have to have my QC rite, or else how can Singapore improve as a whole?!
Anyway, shopping kicked off at Far East after that horrid lunch.

We also went to a tai-tai place for a sit-down after shopping at Orchard.

Kailing is very happy with the removal of her braces. I almost didn't notice it lor.

Appetizer, Soup and Soft Rolls
Both Kailing and Joy loved this bacon-potato soup which I thought was slightly salty. The soft rolls were good lah! Soft and warm, feels so fresh! Appetizer was the little portion of mushrooms, greens and salmon which was half cooked all around, but raw in the middle.
It felt abit weird to have it without wasabi, but guess it was still ok.

Side order: Walnut Carrot Cake and Earl Grey Tea
Best of the best carrot cake! Moist, generous with the carrots, walnuts and chocolate chips, and most importantly, the little sour cream on the top was just right. Superb. Earl Grey tea was in a pretty pot and tea-cup format.

Main Course: Mushroom and Chicken Pasta
Spicy level was just right, very fragrant and tasted abit like aglio olio. I liked this.

Main Course: Bacon Mushroom Sandwich (bread at the bottom covered)
Mushroom was mashed nicely with one slice of bread and garden greens. Taste was ok, but nothing that fantastic.

Dessert: Chocolate Explosion
Oh well, it's exploded there you can see, chocolate sauce oozing out from the cake with super milky vanilla ice-cream (not very much to my liking) and a small portion of fruits.

As I was on my crash diet, I ate the whole portion of fruits and 2 small mouthfulls of cake.
(Abit wasted huh..but it's ok! I'm still happy.)

Plus! I managed to buy 3 pretty items on my shopping list! Got huge CZ stud earring accessory (I think it's about 3 carats huge. Haha) and my Brazil-green cardigan and my black flat pumps!

I'm very satisfied with these 3 items.

Met up with my jie meis yesterday at Grand Hyatt Mezzanine for high-tea.

Occasion: Kailing's 24th birthday
Ambience: Superb
Food: 4/5 (Quality food but not so much of a variety)

Huge succulent prawns, oysters, clams and mussels. Quality.

Joy. Got my favourite dessert cakes, mousses, chocolate fondue, mangoes, ice-cream etc etc.

And I also did my nails. Glitter french. Myself too! Speaking of which, I want to recommend this glitter nail polish which is good!

From O2. This is good because the glitter bits are very big, so it is really glitz and glam. Unlike those glitter dust nail polish, you usually have to apply like 3 coats and above then you can see the glitter, and it may not be very obvious too. So this is good! And it's cheap! I cannot remember the price cos it was quite some time ago, but it's not expensive.

Look at my nail art collection! Got paint, instruments, crystals, stickers, tips etc etc!
I'm very much into nail-art as I think that's the only thing that makes me happy when I have pretty nails and people start going " Wah! You do yourself ah! How to do?"

So here's Bren's guide on 5 simple steps to get a basic simple nail-art. Idiot proof ok. I know some of you are capable of better things but like I said, BASIC. SIMPLE.

Step 1: Base coat to protect the nails. I'm using this from Daiso. Cheap cheap $2!

Step 2: Paint your nails with your favourite colour. A good nail polish helps in the smoothness of application and for them to last.

Step 3: Get the design you like and make an agar measurement of how long you need to cut.

Step 4: Stick the design any way you like it using a pair of tweezers for better control. It can be slanted, vertical..anything! I chose horizontal this time.

Last step: When all toes are done, use top coat for that laquered finish and protection!

And Tada!!! I've got my full set of pretty pedicure with nail-art!

Birthday celebrations continue.

Yeah! Got Present!

My Jie Meis forever: Kailing and Joy. Baby came along too.

Baby and Kailing had stone cooked rice set (I don't know what's the exact name) but technically speaking, there was this hourglass which was turned upside down to allow the food to be cooked first before you indulge.

Both Joy and I had this Unagi Don set with Mushroom Hot Pot.
It's like huge lor. They aren't stingy with the unagi and there are many kinds of mushrooms in the hot pot. Everyone loves the soup although I didn't find it as tasty as what they claimed.
Anyway there was still a portion of fruits, vegetables and coffee/tea together with this set.

It's desserts time! We shared 3 types of desserts.
1) Chocolate Mousse Cake.
Very western and very standard. Delicious but it's the expected kind of taste, so nothing to wow about.

2) Tofu Cheese Cake. Wonderful.
Kailing loved it so much but it's really very light and refreshing. Not those heavy kind that makes you wanna puke from the cheese overdose.

3) This is black sesame pudding.
It's like the beancurd version of black sesame paste. Erm..It didn't really go too well with me but all of them said it's nice.

The one stalk rose cannot be missed for all occasions. Hehe, baby's so sweet.

Presents: Baby bought me a big useful bag! I love it!

Jie Meis gave me a foundation and highlighter (for eyes, nose etc).
I've never tried this brand Benefit before, so I'm very excited to use it on Monday! The little "handbag" you see is actually the gift box, so pretty! Pretty cosmetics make you feel pretty using it also, don't you think so?

Further to my birthday party the day before, all of us had to rise and shine for today's event at 8.30am. Still, we looked good!

With new changes in our KPI, we also had to give ourselves a team name. Hence, ours is S-T-R-E-T-C-H. You know..to stretch our abilities to the extremes etc....

But for this particular day, we were mixed around and had to form teams to play game. I was made the team leader and our team name for the day was PASSION. Cos the event was to do with service quality, so passion fitted in so well!

And guess what, there were actually 3 people in BBCSC whose birthday falls on 05 July. So they kind of celebrated for all the July babies. You see 5 candles here. We were supposed to blow one candle each.

And the remainder (Julian, MayMay and Wendy) all on 05 July.

And so we were made the centre of attraction by having the whole department singing song for us.

The last 2 who didn't manage to win any prizes fought it out by playing the "seaweed game" also known as hai dai quan. So yeah, in the end, everybody won something!

This mango cake is from Breadtalk courtesy of darling and it's not bad, not loaded with cream, so not yucky. There's a layer of mango mousse though.

It was a goodie-bag from all of them with many things inside!

Yvonne was special, she made her own card and gave me 2 items!
Givenchy Very Irresistable perfume (describes me right! haha) and a mickey mouse handphone strap!

The goodie bag contained a pretty dress from Osmose, a glitter mascara, nail art stones and a pink evening bag from Fashion Lab! They just know me inside out!

Most importantly, there was a handmade card (by catherine) with everybody's well-wishes! It was really beautiful and so touching lor! Thank you lovelies!

I think I have a serious case of "big-small-eye" and it's freaking obvious in my photos!!

Since I know I cannot change my eyes, I tried to balance the effect by cutting an uneven fringe. Haha. Actually I don't really know how to cut but I just anyhow anyhow. And so, instead of one straight line across, it always turns out uneven, some part long some part short.

But does it help to create the illusion that both eyes are balanced? Like never hor.

Anyway, we had dinner at Sakae Teppanyaki. They have quite a few of these outlets but we went to the one at Bugis Junction. It was an advanced Father's Day dinner.

And I just realised that the waitress behind Clement is trying to be funny by smiling so widely, trying to be part of the photo lor. *rolls eyes*

Chef started cooking. At least he didn't try to be funny even though I was photographing him openly. Maybe he just showed more "seh" in his skills. Haha.

Darling and I ordered seafood set (got tiger prawns, squid, bamboo clams, chicken, vege), Clem ordered chicken set, Mom and Dad ordered chicken, mushroom, tofu and codfish from the ala-carte side. He's frying our garlic rice now. Yummy.

And so we had a satisfying dinner.

But that wasn't enough. We then went on to Toast Box to have a cuppa. After that they went off while Darling and I went shop shop. Happy saturday.

Say goodbye to Grandma (paternal).

It was like pretty shocking as it all came too fast. And so we all got ourselves busy with the wake and stuffs that all of us didn't really have a good rest.

I was fine throughout, guess I kinda accept that if things had to happen, they just gotta happen.

Anyway I'm sure she's in a better place now, but sometimes I still get a bit scared when night falls, not too sure why also, so I try not to think about it, and to get things done as early as possible so that I won't be left alone.

Alright, move on everyone, look forward.

Mom and Dad's coming home today, from Bangkok. Hopefully they've gotten me some nice stuffs!

Went shopping for HOURS on Tuesday all by myself before I met Kailing for dinner, but didn't manage to buy anything good! Guess Bugis is no longer the place for me. Paragon darling! Paragon! Haha.

Yesterday I prepared dinner for darling and myself. Nothing fantastic though, just a steamed codfish, Terriyaki chicken and wonton soup. I'm just glad darling loved it! So sweet....heh.

Can't hardly wait for the weekends to arrive! Me wanna go shopping again! Hahaahaha.

I had a terrible month, don't ask me why and what happened, don't wish to talk about it anyway since it's over. I'm glad. Very very glad now.

Didn't blog for so long! Didn't manage to get good pictures recently too...just some shots here.

Anyway my darling hurt his knee at a soccer game...haiz, so sad lor! Everytime make me worry for him...tsk. =(

Many things happened besides this. I spent so much quality time with darling and it reminded me again how much he meant to me. We became movie junkies, went shopping, celebrated our anniversary, had dinners and even quarrelled too. But of course, I didn't stop loving my darling for one second.

Everything's been so lovely that I wish time would freeze. Simply hate the end of weekends.

Nice nice? I did this for dear dear some time back with chocolate! And of course...it tasted sweet! Muacks!

Today's my Birthday!

But in the morning I still went to work lor...but at least it's only half day, not so bad. And also thank everyone who sent me birthday wishes through SMS...especially those at 12 am..So after work I met Ivan for lunch at Sushi Tei at Serangoon Gardens....

As usual....we were full of our nonsense.....

And I don't know why this salmon skin came into the picture.....haha =) But anyway, Thank You Ivan for the satisfying lunch!

Then after lunch, I went home and later in the late afternoon went for dinner with family lor, at The Island Cafe at Tangs...oh well, that is my all time favourite hangout dining place. Nice ambience and extrememly gorgeous food. Till now, I can't seem to be able to find something that tastes horrible there. Haha.

And I must ya-ya my ENGLAND Jersey~~~and my ENGLAND baller-ID bands!! See our wrists!

Yeap...the stupid photographer passer-by had to shake while capturing this picture...so....blur lor. And I guess, this marks the end of my birthday celebration(s) and the beginning of a 22 year old life. Haha. =)

Yesterday 08 July I had celebration with Fabian Bro, Shirley and Zhihao. Yup the flowers are from Zhihao. He brought me to Altivo at Mount Faber and so we had dinner and chill out there.

It was like pitch dark in that kind of ambience so sorry, no pictures could be taken in that kind of darkness, but it was definitely an enjoyable evening with live band and a cool breeze.

My throat wasn't too good and I kept feeling the "itch" in my throat so we played 5-10 using water! Whahahaha....yeah man, for once I didn't touch a single drop of liquor last night!

And so the 3 of them countdown together with me! We cut the ice-cream cake from Swensens (courtesy of Zhihao) at midnite lo! It melted so quickly and so in the end we 4 ate the cake from the whole!

Hehe....blogged only today because reached home around 2am this morning. =)

Later I'm going for a super duper important audition.

Yesterday at vocal, Laoshi didn't give me very good comments on my performance and I myself wasn't too happy with what I delivered. It just didn't come out the way I wanted it to be. The effect was just different.

Blame it on the mic, the keyboard, the speaker, the audiences, my voice, my throat or just me. I really don't know. Anyway competition is keen this time and I am not safe either. I have never felt so not confident before. Haha. =)

So I had a long chat with 哥 when I got home, and it has definitely made me feel much lighter although we didn't really talk much about the audition stuff. I guess I shouldn't give myself too much pressure at this juncture now. I have made it in the past and everything would just turn out fine later I hope. I am feeling confident again now. Just came back from Karaoke and Liquid Kitchen at Serangoon Gardens with Bro Keith and Kelvin Leck.

Hmm....haven't seen them both for so long, and they've just gotten back from New Zealand! Kelvin bought me RUM and RAISIN chocolates! and Bro bought me an exquisite bottle of KIWI BRANDY!

See??? They know me so well. So sweet of them. (awwww........)

But I only went Genting, so got them some M'sian foodstuffs....guess they'd prefer that to "I love Genting" keychains and t-shirts. Hahaha. =)

I'm always looking forward to see Bro. I'm always happy to see him. Bro booked a room at K-Garden. First time I went there, so gotta check it out. Well, I think I prefer K-Box still, haha. Got more songs there. I ordered 2 glasses of hot honey lemon.

So we reached at 2040hrs...and sang till 2340hrs. Then I was kinda high although they both looked tired. I didn't wanto go home early even though I need to work at 0900hrs on Sunday... So we went to Liquid Kitchen and we suggested to play 5-10 to get high-er.

And I ordered my Tequila Sunrise....and played 5-10....they ordered a jug of Tiger. Haha... play play play...dunno why I keep losing.....so I was the first to finish my cocktail and then shared Kelvin's glass of beer.....and I seemed to be drinking most of the time lor!!

After that felt so uncomfortable...almost died. I enjoy alcohol but I am not a very good drinker...somemore swallowing beer at such a fast rate..haha. Plus the honey lemon and the tequila sunrise all mix together in my stomach....argh~

Then we finished the beer cos Bro was driving me home so we didn't drink much lah. Thanks for the wonderful wonderful night! Lurve ya!!! =)

Day 1-To Genting

Alright! 0630hrs in the morning we assembled at Golden Mile, and 0730hrs our luxurious Grassland coach took off to Genting! See my ming2 xing1 specs? Haha...early mah, nv make up somemore got dark eye rings so must cover. Anyway gonna sleep again in the coach, so see you all in 7 hrs road time...

1430hrs. Guess which hotel I stay? Yes, it's the 5-star Genting Hotel. Got a little drizzle despite my presence....guess I'm losing powers these days. =)

Wooh! Nice views from our rooms....

We're high up. Went to deposit the luggage first...we were all starving lor! Give me FOOD FOOD FOOD!

While waiting for the adults..Dongying and I shall snapshot!

Walked over to First World Plaza to settle lunch. Chinese cuisine but who cares....everything tastes great when you're hungry.

Then we starting walking abit....and I couldn't resist my favourite Candy Store! I like candy stores! So sweet!

More shopping.....SEE MY BOOTS!! Whahaha...they sure came in useful in that cold wind! And the boots make my legs look longer n nicer leh! Hahaha...illusion~~next time must wear more often. =)

And we're going to catch this "Mysteria" show at 9pm later at night at The Pavillion. He's been to Las Vegas to perform leh! Got white tiger leh! Magic! Excited excited!!!

And there was a beautiful stage in First World Plaza but no performances at the moment.....

Bren is a cake-girl. You all know that! Hahaha...

Ferris Wheel! I know I'm sounding damn excited but it just feels good to see all these stuff which is absent in Singapore...

And night falls....beautiful. Dongying came over to our room and we all played cards. And we were hysterical...with the Huanzhu GeGe cards and the guessing game! Whahahaa! I slept earlier than them. Prepared for a funkier tomorrow!

Day 2-Genting Mania!

Early in the morning, I woke up fresh and energetic! Eh? I landed up in Germany?! Haha...World Cup mah, the whole place was so well decorated, and there were tonnes of people who wore soccer tees bearing their favourite countries...and see mine see mine? England~~~~~ =)

Breakfast was at a tim-sum restaurant where I laid my hands on a char siew bao. Hahaha. =)

And I do love Starbucks's Hazlenut Latte. Went to the outdoors for more photo taking and to enjoy the 20 degree cold air! See my boots see my boots! Haha.

Okie...they both started chionging Tank's and Cao Ge's songs....so I sit back and relax first.

And then after Karaoke....we started our day at the themepark and arcade....Clem getting ready to throw the ball...see whether can win any stuff toys anot...haha.

And you just can't blame us for calling ourselves....G-A-M-E-R-S. haha! Got 693 TICKETS! And we managed to change quite a number of stuff lah, stationary and all those nonsense. But we shure had lots of fun!

Then we went on to buy the day pass for the themepark and had upteen times of bumper car, ferris wheel....and roller coaster rides. Why no pictures? My camera died on me, it spoilt....(now I really have a reason to buy another camera!) Lucky I got bring another back-up camera. Heh.

Oh yah!! I noticed this rather typical looking Japanese guy in bumper car and he was like so cool. I purposely keep chasing him to bang him but he like can't be bothered with me, face also no expression. Shua3 Shuai4 lor. Haha.. and another time we played bumper car we noticed a "Liu Geng Hong". And crazy Clem went to sing Cai3 Hong2 Tian1 Tang2 in front of him. It was hysterical cos "Liu Geng Hong" was also expressionless.

Dinner was International buffet! Wooh~~~~look at that! Desserts! You'd catch me again and again at that stretch of food! Hahaha.

And see??? Got strawberry cake, mango pudding...agar agar....Pandan moose, Chocolate walnut....Hehe. And we were so stuffed so we decided to go back to themepark to play bumper car again! Lucky never puke. Haha~

3rd Day--Going Home!

Breakfast for the 3rd and last day was at The Bakery at the hotel lobby...served nice sandwiches similar to Delifrance's but at half the prices!

And I went back to my favourite candy shop before leaving for the bus terminal. Hope I survive the 7 hour ride home! I miss you guys! Hehehe. =)

SIN-JB-SIN

Yesterday went JB with Kailing and Chris, took the SIN-JB Express bus there. Er....it wasn't too crowded and in a few minutes we cleared the customs on both sides and continued with the trip.

But the weather wasn't too good despite my presence (haha) and it was drizzling and so we walked thru some ulu streets to reach City Square. I assume it's Chris's favourite place cos he knows the place inside out. Haha.

Reached pretty early so most shops weren't fully opened...and I being the "I-am-damn-hungry" person.....we shall settle at MAC ok ok ok???

Coffee, Tea or Me? Hehe.

Then later after food got energy so started shopping and you know me huh, too busy shopping forgot to take any pictures of us at City Sq! Haha....

In probably 3-4 hours time we combed the whole of City Sq and were ready for Round 2 at somewhere else! So took cab to the newly opened JUSCO shopping mall which took us 20 mins road time.

We do what we do best.....Here's Kailing and me in the backseat of the small, pathetic, a little bit dirty 1.3CC Manual cab.

And we reached JUSCO!! And Chris...it's J-U-S-C-O.....not Justgo hor hor hor. hehe. =)

Okie...looks somewhat like our Suntec City with a anchor departmental store and supermart like Carrefour style....and more upmarket brands like Guess, Esprit, Topshop, MNG....mostly boutiques lor.

And then then kids were like entertained....screaming....clapping, singing.....

And our dear BARNEY made his appearance.....

Kailing managed to find a nail salon so she did her French Manicure and spa pedicure...guess it'll probably take her 2 hours so Chris and I will shop shop first and come back for her later. And so we left her at 2.30pm.

Alright! Shopping.....and tea! Breadtalk's cakes. They taste different from the ones in S'pore. Neither better nor worse..just different. It was cheaper...and that was like 3.30pm by the way. =)

Surprisingly, we also combed the place rather quickly, because there were some repeat shops from City Square...and cineplex and those selling electrical stuff....so.....I'm gonna keep myself occupied again! Cheers!

Ok...relax first...let me enjoy my luohanguo with aloe vera. =)

4.30pm......still waiting...beginning to stone, people watch...gossip...etc etc. haha

5.45PM!!! Why so long!!! Tsk tsk tsk....I'm hungry again...quick leh.

Finally Kailing finished her beautiful nails and we were all famished. Dinner was at Manhattan Fish Market. Price was definitely outrageously cheap....with tiptop service, nice tablecloths and nice yellow lights! Haha.

Yellow lights make everyone look good. Hahaha. Oh, they both had Fish n Chips and I had caesar salad....and shared soft shell crabs....

Simple but nice food!

And we're all happy people. Haha. (Sounds like what Joy would say. haha.)

This is not a heap of rubbish ok....they're all my shopping barangs which I bought! Haha.

Today marks the end of the bloody exams.

We had to do 5 questions for MM (Management Mathematics) paper and sadly, I could onli do 2 complete questions. The other 3 were like half half....or rather, anyhow do. But I still sat thru the 3 hours cracking my brain trying to find all sorts of methods to solve.

Then after that, I went Jean Yip at PS to do my hair....treatment, rebond plus colour

Sat thru the whole process from 2pm-7pm, and the result was absolutely WAY above my expectations.

You all know I had "gold" hair previously right, so it was like bleached and dry and scattered and looked like hay. However, Jean Yip did a very good job of rebonding and my hair is back to my old smooth quality with minimal frizz!!

In addition, the black colour which I requested for, also made a total change in my outlook. Actually I didn't dye black black lah, they call it ash brown, but at a glance in white light indoors it resembles black. Anyway it was dark enuff to cover my gold hair and get them out of my sight I very happy liao.

And since my hair was so damaged previously, I bought the treatment shampoo to try lor. I maintained my fringe to make my face look smaller cos I looked thru my older pics w/o fringe I realised I look very matured leh! plus, it's for a change lor. Now I look like a china doll with BLACK hair, my fringe abit cukoo like that, but I think it's very "got zao4 xing2", I must make-up and wear nice nice then look stylo, haha.

I know why I'm so excited about this 3D2N Genting trip that I'm going on 20-22 June.

And that's because, Dongying's family is also going!!! And that means I've got my kaki to go karaoke and themepark!

And it's also because I have never taken bus (I mean coach) to Genting. The past few times I've always taken flight to KL then cable car. So this long ride of 6 hours would give me hell lots time with my Zen Micro. Heh.

And then it has also been donkey years since I last went to Genting, and hence, definitely looking forward to it!

And I can chill at the 17-24 degree celcius weather....and WEAR MY BOOTS! Haha~

And I can go themepark and play idiot-proof games with Dongying because we both aren't the super adventurous kind who'd thrill at rollercoasters etc. Hehe.

I am so so so looking forward to this trip! But I am MORE looking forward to the end of my exams, and my JB trip with Kailing and Chris! Yeah! =)

Ooh, I haven't been blogging for so long...nothing to blog about anyway!

Been staying home and roaming around Compass Point, Hougang Mall and Kovan, guess that was the furthest I've been recently.

But today I met Kailing after her work and we went Marina Square to have our long awaited dessert at this Japanese restaurant (Azaba-something Sabo, I think.). We were SO hungry, we shared an unagi bento and teriyaki chicken bento. The ungai bento is good! And the serving was quite generous.

Dessert was ultimately great! I was so stuffed and couldn't even finish my favourite green tea ice cream, red bean paste, fancy little fruits, glutinous rice balls, and all the fanciful stuff you'd find in an ice-kachang. But this was really really good. But the serving was again very large, so I also didn't manage to finish. Moreover, I found the red bean paste too sweet for my liking.

Anyway, for small eaters like me, guess it's better to share the dessert next time round.

Oh yes! Am I glad to say.....3 papers are D-O-W-N! Law, Accounting and MSM are over!

I just realised that I've been teaching piano for one and a half years already! Wow!

And recently I had this new student from my Condo, and he just lives right above me, on the 11th storey. Oh well, teaching this student private is good because I don't need to travel (except taking the elevator), but because he's an adult, it's sometimes more difficult to teach.

Cos he wants to learn piano his way. And him being my "customer", of course I must try to accomodate to his requests. And that means I do not teach him anything about the basics, like note values and timing blah blah blah. I just teach him how to play a song, thru memory or by ear or watever methods I can think of.

I mean, if that's what he wants, fine. But somehow it's difficult mah, since you have like zero foundation, haven't learn to walk, wanto run already...how can!

That makes me dread his lesson (a little only lah), because of such a way of training. And I did try to start him off with a little theory basics and I could tell he was utterly bored. haha.

And I am going to see him later for lesson. Later at 8pm. =(

Today went Bugis Junction and Village with Gina Xiaomei, and we sure can walk lor! Haha. We met at 2pm, and walked all the way till 9.30pm!

And STILL WALKING!

Anyway I finally bought my leopard print belt~bargained it to only $5! Haha!

And the white retro earrings simply matched my outfit today (I was wearing a white top), so I had to get it! $2 only wad!! (Quote Gina: no need to think, just buy!)

Ah-hah! Fake nails! This set doesn't need glue one leh, just press it down on your nails and it'll stick. Fuss-free man. Pretty with jewels and lots of them, what I've always wanted!

And then I met Anson and his girlfren by coincidence at some corner of Bugis Villge. I called out to him to say hi and his girlfren was like S-T-A-R-I-N-G at me as though I was going to eat up her boyfriend. Chill man, I hurriedly said "Hi Anson! Shopping ah? Ok Bye!" Like....what the heck's wrong with your gf? (*I'm rolling my eyes-but praying both of them will never read this! oops.)

And so I continued with the shopping and found my all time favourite...denim skirt at only $12! No need to think! Just buy!

The crown t-shirt was more like an extra thing cos this wasn't in my agenda, but anyway both Gina Xiaomei and I got the same thing, just that hers was in white. Bargaining tactics failed at this stall, so we paid $12 for this t-shirt. Haha.

While walking back, we passed Giordano at Parco and they were having some "lelong" sales with selected items at 50%, so we went in to grab some basics at only $8 each!

Yeah! Very happy with all my savings today! =) When shall we go shopping again?
