The music school I'm teaching at had this annual in-house concert for all students and teachers (optional) to showcase their talents and of course, to also give budding talents exposure and to account to their parents that they have somehow learnt something.

It's THE BIG DAY kind of thing and so, just look at the fancy dressing for this concert. Parents should be the busiest people, all came equipped with digital cameras, video cameras and even last minute image touch-ups for their kids.


Oh, this guy here isn't my student but I thought he really played very well..everything was well taken care of, technique, dynamics, speed, accurate counting, rhythm, mood etc...GOOD!

P/S: there's more to just sound when you're playing the piano you know.. or else it'll end up as noise. He even played from memory. Impressive. He's got future. =)


Ooh..and here's one of my students, Zhengwei (Grade 1), with his mom...and me of course. Wasn't feeling well (had headache but still made my appearance at the concert), so looking kinda pale here.


And there is Zhengwei on the stage! Although not perfect, but I'm happy with his performance. =)


2 of my students couldn't make it as they had something on so here's the remaining 2 of my students, Marcus (Grade 3) and Gennie (Grade 5). They did well too.

I should think the concert was a success. But I was struggling with my headache half the time. Argh.
